Old age should burn and rave at close of day;

Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Though wise men at their end know dark is right,

Because their words had forked no lightning they

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright

Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,

Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,

And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,

Do not go gentle into that good night.

Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight

Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,

Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

And you, my father, there on the sad height,

Curse, bless me now with your fierce tears, I pray.

不要溫順地走進(jìn)那安息的長(zhǎng)夜，

老人在日暮時(shí)也需發(fā)光發(fā)熱；

怒吼，怒吼，即使生命之火即將熄滅。

盡管智者的言詞不如雷電轟轟烈烈，

盡管深知?dú)w于黑暗是不變的法則，

他們不會(huì)溫順地走進(jìn)那安息的長(zhǎng)夜。

碧綠的海灣點(diǎn)滴事跡舞姿搖曳，

最后的浪花中好人的呼喚更加清澈，

怒吼，怒吼，即使生命之火即將熄滅。

為時(shí)已晚，狂人讓太陽(yáng)徒生悲切，

抓住飛馳的太陽(yáng)唱一支贊歌，

他們不會(huì)溫順地走進(jìn)那安息的長(zhǎng)夜。

嚴(yán)肅的人臨近死亡漸漸喪失視覺(jué)，

失明的雙目象流星閃光充滿喜色，

怒吼，怒吼，即使生命之火即將熄滅。

我盼你或祈?；蛟{咒淚水火樣熾烈，

父親啊，就在這最為悲痛的時(shí)刻。

不要溫順地走進(jìn)那安息的長(zhǎng)夜。
